13arts challenge #35 - summer dreams

This layout is very simple, but I'm very proud of it.
I was in Italy with another couple friends and we were goofing around our homestay residence just before dinner. Yet another beautiful memory.

Here is the moodboard by 13arts

Below is my interpretation of the moodboard
The chipboard is from JittobearCo, an Etsy store which I coloured with gelato.
I used papers from "Mental Vacation" by Jelissa Mei (sold by 13arts).
I used the same stencil but with different mediums to create a different effect.
As you can see, it's really a simple layout. :)

13arts challenge #35

I'm joining 13arts challenge for the 1st time, because I was inspired by the moodboard.
Recently I was musing on my holidays in Japan. Japan has a special place in my heart because it had a significant moment in my history.

Here are the details of the challenge:

and my take on it.

My photo-mat-frame is from an Etsy shop Jittobearco. I've actually used quite a number of their chipboards. The hotair balloon & clock chipboards are from 2craft :)
I used mists for the background and gelato for the chipboards and also a little of silk glaze.
For texture, I used sandgrit from 13arts.
I found the Ayeeda gold paint very fun to use and I used it to give that golden autumn-y feel.

Below are some close-up :)

SATW Oct 2015 challenge

Is it October already?
Time has flown by. I was really inspired by this month's challenge, so despite my busy schedule, I've decided to have some fun and to add a little colour to my house. Here's link to the Scrap Around the World October 2015 challenge & its rules.

This is the October mood board.

I'm always thankful for my wonderful hubby who is also a great daddy to my kids :-)

The chipboard are from an Etsy store Jittobear.
Here's what I did
1. Black-gesso my cardstock.
2. I used a 6x6 stencil & gelato for the colours.
3. Then I reversed the stencil and stamped it for my balancing cluster.
4. I put a little modeling on a stencil  ontop of the coloured flowers.
5. added sand-grit and green crushed glass glitter and pink distress glitter
6. I used colourarte silk glaze for my title-piece, then applied some crackle paint.
6.I used blue colourarte silk glaze for the blue photoframe and sprayed some mist to have some colour variation
7. I found a little hanging trinklet perfect for my cluster. I couldn't be happier :-)
8. flicked a little yellow paint on the background.

for the mounting,
8. I used a Martha Stewart punch to punch out a 12x12 flowery pattern from white cardstock which I then coloured with gelato
9. applied distressed ink on (yet) another sheet of white card stock then i stacked everything together.

I like this part best :-)
