My mental occupation

I started scrapping late 2012 through an introduction of my good friend. It had been a slow journey but it suddenly picked up momentum a year later. As a child, I loved to cut out newspaper and paste them in a jotterbook. I did my first photo album when I went on my first overseas holiday alone. I struggled to find a style that I like, a style that was "me". I like mixed media because the possibilities are endless. I'm new to this and I hope to grow in this area. :-)

paper layering

I read a few books which talked lots about paper layering. very intriguing. and sometimes, I tend to overthink and under-do.

But I've discovered with scrapbooking and perhaps with anything creative, I need to do more, practice more and throw my "boxed thinking" out of the window and "just do it" and I will be "WOW" by the product.

looking at it now, I realize that I could have done more. adding ribbons or lace would definitely soften the look. another point of improvement: I need a bigger picture, since this is the "centerpiece", but I already had it and I didn't want to waste it.

Anyway, it is ok to make mistakes. We all learn from it. :-)
