SATW challenge Jul 2015

This is my first time entering a challenge over at Scrap Around the World and I am really excited.
Here is the moodboard for July 2015

and here is my take on it.


My eldest daughter learnt to cycle this summer (although there is technically no summer season here in SG) and she has been cycling everyday ever since. We lived next to a park and hence she has got ample space and time to practice and she has started to do stuff eg stand while cycling. This is an everyday routine in the evening just before dinner.

The colours were used to depict the time of day & location.
I used gelato for the background and sprinkled water on it. The droplets of water created a very subtle lightening effect, coupled with the white & yellow mist sprinkles.
There are "leaves on the pathway" as shown in the background (with stamps and emboss) followed by my paper layer. Trees & flowers (sparkles) & grass (glass glitter, mica flakes) to depict the environment. 
I misted the title with light blue and used a white-on-white emboss.
I had fun creating this and look forward to more challenges! :-)
